BRITTNEY SIMPSON

OWNER / HEAD TRAINER

I proudly serve as an FEI Grand Prix rider and hold my coaching license from Equine Canada, currently advancing towards my High-Performance Coaching Certification. Throughout my career, I've trained numerous horses, guiding them from training levels to prestigious FEI competitions. A core belief of mine is the significance of goal-setting, whether it be for small milestones or grand achievements, and crafting a meticulous plan to achieve them alongside my athletes. My journey in the equestrian world began on my grandparents' farm, where my passion for horses was ignited through experiences in 4H and over 200 Standardbred race horses owned by my grandfather. My fascination with dressage took root at the age of 14 when I had the opportunity to assist an FEI rider at the BC Dressage Championships—an experience that left an indelible mark on me. In 2001 and 2002, I proudly competed with my mare Azaria, whom I diligently trained in FEI Young Riders competitions at the Canadian National Championships. Continuously striving for excellence, I devote myself to perpetual improvement in both my riding and coaching capacities. Regularly participating in clinics and educational courses, I not only enhance my skills but also inspire my students to pursue continuous learning. Fueled by a deep-seated passion for my profession, I dedicate countless hours to nurturing both human and equine athletes. Particularly fulfilling is my commitment to developing junior athletes, fostering the future of our sport. Notable successes include guiding two FEI Juniors to represent Canada at NAYC (North American Youth Championships) in 2022, clinching team gold. Subsequently, in 2023, a student showcased Canada's talent as the top-ranked FEI Canadian Junior rider at NAYC, ranking within the top 50 globally. My coaching endeavors extend across various levels, with students achieving commendable milestones in FEI Children, Pony, Junior, Young Rider, and U25 categories. In recognition of my contributions, I was honored as Dressage BC Coach of the Year in 2022. An integral aspect of my professional pursuits involves annual winter excursions to California with clients and horses, where we immerse ourselves in intensive training and competitive engagements. Travel is intrinsic to my business, as we participate in numerous CDIs and qualifying shows for NAYC. Currently, I'm focused on training several promising horses for the future, with my top mounts including Gio, competing at Grand Prix level, and Hickory, excelling in Intermediate A competitions. My dedication remains unwavering as I continue to pursue excellence in both my riding and coaching endeavors.
